Make Changes in Project Extended Attribute with Aspose.Tasks Cloud 18.9

Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedIn

Aspose.Tasks CloudWe are pleased to announce the new release of Aspose.Tasks Cloud 18.9. This release made changes in ExtendedAttribute type. Added fields such as ‘DateValue’, ‘DurationValue’, ‘NumericValue’, ‘FlagValue’ and ‘TextValue’  and removed fields such as ‘DurationFormat’, ‘Value’ and ‘AttributeType’ fields. Moreover, a few bugs were fixed. For a detailed note on what is new and fixed, please visit the release notes section of APIs Documentation.

Important Changes and New Features

1. Duration type was added:

{
"TimeSpan": "10:00:00",
"TimeUnit": "Hour"
}

2. Changes in ExtendedAttribute type

Changes in ExtendedAttribute type (used in Task.ExtendedAttributes, Resource.ExtendedAttributes, ResourceAssignment.ExtendedAttributes collections):

  • ‘DurationFormat’ field was removed
  • ‘Value’ field was removed
  • ‘AttributeType’ field was added
  • Following fields were added: ‘DateValue’, ‘DurationValue’, ‘NumericValue’, ‘FlagValue’, ‘TextValue’

The following table shows which field contains the value of extended attribute depending on ExtendedAttribute’s type. Thus in order to get or set the value of a custom field with ‘Date’, ‘Start’ or ‘Finish’ type one should use ‘DateValue’ field.

Extended Attribute type Extended Attribute field
Date, Start, Finish DateValue
Duration DurationValue
Flag FlagValue
Number, Cost NumericValue
Text TextValue
Example
"Task" :
{
    ...
    "ExtendedAttributes": [
      {
        "FieldId": "188743950",
        "AttributeType": "Date",
        "DateValue": "2018-03-04T08:15:00+07:00",
        "TextValue": null
      },
      {
        "FieldId": "188743960",
        "AttributeType": "Duration",
        "DurationValue": {
          "TimeSpan": "10:00:00",
          "TimeUnit": "Hour"
        }
      }
    ]
    ...
}

3. GET /{name}/extendedattributes/{index} and DELETE /{name}/extendedattributes/{index} endpoints: index parameter now can be FieldId as well as index of attribute in project.ExtendedAttributes collection.

Request
curl -v https://api.aspose.cloud/v1.1/tasks/sample.mpp/extendedattributes/188743731 \
     -X GET \

Fully Reworked Version of Java SDK and new Paragraph Format APIs in Aspose.Words Cloud 18.9

Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedIn

We are pleased to announce the new release of Aspose.Words Cloud 18.9. Fully reworked version of Java SDK for Aspose.Words Cloud have been released. Moreover, we introduced two new APIs that let you update paragraph format properties. Please go through the Aspose.Words Cloud 18.9 Release Notes for a full set of changes to the APIs.

New Features and Enhancements

1. Aspose.Words Cloud SDK for Java

Fully reworked version of Aspose Cloud Java SDK has been released. Java Cloud SDK is a wrapper around REST API, allowing to process documents in Java 1.7+ quickly and easily, gaining all benefits of strong types and IDE highlights. The distribution is available at Maven and source code at GitHub.

New SDK is fully supported and has the following advantages over the previous versions:

  • SDK is fully in sync with the API, all missing methods are added
  • Classes, methods, and properties have comments and are IDE-friendly
  • Better security
  • Usage of Request/Response classes to represent long lists of parameters. This allows for cleaner code and easier backward-compatibility going forward
  • SDK is not backward compatible with the previous generation because of the last item. It should be straightforward to convert program code to using Request/Response objects, if you need any help on migration please ask at Free Support Forums.

2. Added new saveoptions

Earlier these options were only exist in Aspose.Words, but now they are available in Aspose.Words Cloud too:

  • HtmlFixedSaveOptions.SaveFontFaceCssSeparately
  • MtmlSaveOption.ExportCidUrlsForMhtmlResources

3. Added “paragraph format” APIs

It provides access to the paragraph formatting properties:
