Update existing version

Import RTF as WordPress Post

The RTF is a popular document format as it holds formatting like bold and italics, different font faces, font sizes, and images. Many modern Word document editors support this format. Owing to these capabilities, we have implemented the support in Aspose.Words Exporter plugin to import RTF files as WordPress Post or Page. Please follow the steps given below to accomplish this requirement.

  • Under the Posts section on WordPress Admin, click the Add New button

Import from Media Gallery

  • Now expand Aspose.Words menu under Settins and click Import from Media Gallery button. Please note that this option only becomes available when Aspose.Words Exported is properly installed and configured
  • Browse the file from Gallery or load it from your system and click the Import to Current Post button
  • The content of RTF file is loaded into WordPress post as shown below

Importing ODT as WordPress Post

The ODT file is an OpenDocument Text Document file format and is most often created by the free OpenOffice Writer word processor programs. Its similar to the popular DOCX file format used with Microsoft Word and is capable of saving and exchanging text, spreadsheets, charts, and presentations. In this section, we are going to import the file-sample_1MB.odt file as a WordPress post using Aspose.Words Exporter plugin. The steps will be same as specified in above section, except we will provide .ODT file from media gallery. Given below is the preview of file after import.

Export to variety of Formats

Given below is the list of file formats in which the WordPress posts can be exported. In order to set the document export format, please click the Plugins option from left menu and click Settings link under Aspose.Words. Scroll down to the bottom of page and select desired value form Export Posts File Type dropdown (as shown below).
